Even though it is still Fall, the temperatures have plummeted this past week. Usually, this drastic change catches people by surprise. We have talked about this before, but now that the freezing temps are here, please remember to secure any exposed piping with heat tape or some kind of insulation. Make sure outside faucets do not have the hose attached to it.
Know where your main shut off valve is. This is very important if you get a burst pipe due to freezing.
We are here 24-7 to assist in any way we can with cold weather issues. Do not get caught off guard as it can lead to destructive and costly issues in your home. Contact us at fullnelsoninc.com/contact or call at 816-420-9697. Thank you and have a great weekend!
Once again, fall has arrived and we get an extra hour coming up this weekend! With that, comes cold weather. Don't get caught off guard! We offer winterizing services to keep your home safe and secure during what can be very drastic freezing temperatures.
Keep in mind during those freezing temps, to check on your exposed pipes. First off, locate your main shut off valve...if you do get a frozen water line and it bursts, you will want to be able to shut off your water!
For prevention, you can wrap exposed pipes in heat tape or some sort of insulation to help keep them from freezing. Drafty windows, garage spaces, exterior walls, and crawl spaces, should be checked for pipes that could be exposed to the cold weather and potentially cause a serious problem for you.
When we hit below freezing temps and you have a burst pipe, it becomes an emergency fast! Take prevention steps now.
We will be happy to come out and help with prevention as well, and we offer winterization services! See our specials at fullnelsoninc.com/specials for more information. Hopefully, this article will help you prevent emergency situations this winter!
Have a great week everyone!
Tuesday night will bring out all the odd, spooky and funny costumes presented each year at this time. We take joy in watching kids have fun sporting their costumes around the neighborhood and a chance to talk with neighbors along the way.
We would like to take a minute today to share with our audience how important safety will be for you and our kids.
Please dress your child in warm clothes under their costume as temperatures will be rather cool.
Please have them wear reflective tape or something that will be obvious to drivers that they are walking alongside the road (not every neighborhood has sidewalks)
If you are driving, keep in mind that kids will be running and walking all over their own neighborhoods. Kids get excited about the costumes and ringing neighbors' doorbells to collect the treasure trove of candy!
We ask this Halloween to keep us all safe!
Happy trick or treating everyone!
***Also a reminder that our specials end tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.***

Fluid dynamics is a science of water. What comes out of your tap depends on how that water is treated, from the city, to any type of treatment mechanism people use, such as water softeners. House Trons are a way to have a "water treatment" installed without the hassle of chemicals or added salt to your drinking water. For more information please visit our Fluid Dynamics page at fullnelsoninc.com/fluiddynamics. It is important to understand how helpful this product is and how much money it can save you down the road. It is a one time installation, no maintenance and no harsh chemicals or salt needed. Once it's installed, your water is fully treated 100% of the time.
Water is one of the most important aspects of our lives. Think about how many times you use water on a daily basis. This is a way to use your water and have it treated without thinking about it again! Interested in this product? Right now, we are having a special, so visit us at fullnelsoninc.com/specials and make your appointment today!
Have a great weekend everyone!
You just put the rest of dinner down the disposal, and, what is that? It's not doing anything, or it's humming, or it sounds horrible...what's going on? All kinds of bad thoughts can go through your mind as you think about what's happening here. Today, we have a couple tips to ensure that your disposal is doing fine, and if these tips don't work, then it may be time to call the plumber!
First of all, with the disposal OFF and no water running, see if there is anything in the disposal that shouldn't be there (metal, glass, plastic, etc.)
Second, every disposal has a reset button (see diagram). With the disposal OFF, press the reset button and try turning on the disposal. Hopefully that worked!
If that didn't work, there is still one more thing you can do. You can use a Hexagon, or Allen wrench that came with the disposal. If you don't have one, you can purchase one at a hardware store. Insert the wrench inside the middle part of the disposal (see diagram), and twist it left and right, or right and left to try and free up whatever may be blocking it up to work right. Again, do not have the disposal on at any time while trying to trouble shoot a problem. Once you have twisted the bottom with the wrench, take it out and try the disposal again.
Hopefully, one of the above trouble shooting methods worked for you. They are very common problems. If not, give us a call and we will be happy to help!
Thank you for joining us today! Have a great weekend everyone!
